These creations are extremely light weight and feature the forewings of the Malayan Tree Nymph butterfly. Contrasting black and white (soft creamy whites to palest yellows).

I have placed these beauties between clear single-use plastic, cut from single-use food containers (image 9), of purchased food products, which have been washed and sterilized. Re-Use and reduce my friends. Let’s save the wild things. The edges are finished with heat to mold into shape and reinforced with spot wire wrapping. See backs of creation in image 5.

These float, flutter and dance. They measure approx. 1-1/4”W and 3-3/4”T from top of hook to bottom dangle. The beautiful 1/2” fresh water pearl adds more movement and motion as it dangles lustrously from the bottom. Hooks are custom cut and shaped from metallic black (to evoke butterfly legs/antennae [image 3]) craft wire and measure approx 1-7/8” long.

NOTE: All butterflies were gathered for me by my friendly neighborhood insectarium, after each insect’s natural life span. Buy wearable nature art!
