This piece is created from recycled corrugated board and brown paper bags. I cut away and peeled back the top layer of corrugated board. Adding additional layers w/ brown bag for wings and sun. The images are mixed media. I used oil pastels, acrylic paint, Elmer's glue for detail lines in bluebird and sun. I embroidered the swirly patterns in sky and yellow flower dot in grass using cotton embroidery floss. The green border at top is also embroidery using recycled raffia. Bottom border is cotton twine looped and sandwiched between front art and back cover...a wonderful day indeed! Measures 11+1/2W x 7+1/2" tall. Made to hang inside, out of the weather.
