Super light weight! Created with pressed flowers from my nature hikes! These are an indigenous Louisiana wildflower I found, hiking along the Mississippi River levee.

Pressed flowers are placed between cut, clear single-use plastic, in a clever reuse of single-use plastic clam shell food containers, of purchased food products, which have been washed and sterilized (image 13). Reuse and reduce my friends. The edges are heated and molded to shape. I have whimsically embroidered the edges using the “blanket stitch”, using a green cotton sewing thread. (stitch detail iimages 11+12).

See back of design in image 10. The accent dangles at bottom are green glass and measure approx. 1/2”W x 5/8” T. The full dimensions of these earrings are approx. 1+3/8”W and 2+1/2”T from top of hook to bottom dangle. The hooks (image 9) are shaped and cut from antique colored craft wire, and measure approx. 1+3/8” long. There is a small round, brass stud detaill under hook added for extra cuteness.

NOTE: All flowers were gathered by me from my friendly neighborhood hikes, unless otherwise noted. Cardboard models are life sized. Buy wearable thisit.me singular creations and enjoy my nature art!
