Barbarella meets the shire

Barbarella meets the shire

$124.00

Super light weight, sci-fi and chock-a-block with organic treasures. Created using juxtaposition of single use plastics with nature. Choker built from the clever reuse of the walls of throw away plastic containers (image 4+5).

Three layers of plastic with real butterfly, cicada and dragonfly wings, pressed flowers and four leaf river clovers layered in between. Layers are held together with tiny faceted crystal beads (image 8). The choker fastening is fringe, vegan leather strands slavaged from a thrift store find. Reuse , reduce, create AND buy my wearable nature art!

Adjusts to most sizes. Vegan fringe strands measures 11+1/2” L. Choker measures Aprrox 2” wide and 3+1/4” around from plastic edge to edge. Swallowtale wing dangle hangs 3+1/2” from choker bottom. Accented with fresh water pearls approx. 1/2’ in diameter.

No insects were harmed in the making of this creation. Butterfly wings were gathered for me by my friendly neighborhood insectarium. Pressed flowers were collected by me along the river’s edge. Cicada and dragonfly wings found while gardening.
