My butterfly wing earrings are super light weight! Real butterfly wings are set between (clever reuse) of single-use plastics (Image 8). This pair features 2 different species and are magnificent statement creations. Colors range: iridescent blue, sepia, near black, rich browns, trace bits of orange around fluted edge, creamy white specks, and “eye” features a ring of muted mustard.

Overall earring dimensions approx. 2+1/4”W and 4”T from top of hook to bottom dangle. The hooks are shaped and cut from antique copper colored craft wire and measure approx. 1+1/8” long to evoke butterfly legs/antennae (image 5).

NOTE: All butterflies were gathered for me by my friendly neighborhood insectarium, after each insect’s natural life span. CARDBOARD MODELS ARE LIFE SIZED.
